Full Name: Karina Artemis Nickleby
Age: 15
Sex: Female
Year: 5th
Bloodline: 3-quarters pure.
Parentage: Alexandre and Jessica Nickleby
Houses in order of Preference: Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff.
Wand: 13 1/2 inches, willow, harpie nail
Pet: A black kitten
Personality: With a bit of a problem trusting people, Karina can seem a bit standoffish and cold at first. Lashing out with her tongue and wit at the slightest comments, if you can get past that, you reach a girl with a brain like a steel trap and an even better sense of humour. She keeps her friends close, and her enemies closer.
Appearance: Karina isn't a very tall girl, standing at about 5'2", with long, dark brown hair, normally curled in a 50's style at the ends. Her eyes are big and brown, and her face is oval, with some freckles by her nose.
History: Karina was born and raised in Wales, where she would go outside every night (they lived in a small town) and stargaze with hardly any lights on in the town. At age 11, she was sent to London, where she was put on a train to Hogwarts, soon to be followed by her younger brother, now 8 years old. Her parents still reside in their small town, and Karina lives with them during the summer.
Sample Post: [from Something Wicked This Way Comes]
Clinging silently to the cold stone wall of the tower, Karina's dark eyes peered out from under her cloak, as black as the night that had closed in around her, and waited. The professor was taking his good sweet time closing the trapdoor, and until he did, Karina dare not breath. This was her specialty...sneaking. Sneaking up to another's wand, sneaking in the corner of a tower, whatever, she could do it. While other little kids would clump downstairs to spy on their parents, Karina would always make it in the time and as silently as a shadow. She got a FAST education that way.
Still, these proud thoughts were pushed away as the trapdoor shut with a short BANG! Karina, a sly grin on her face, unwrapped her feet from under her cloak, and pushed back the hood that hid the pale skin on her face. Listening for the last step to fade away, Karina reached out and grasped the rope that would open the top to the astronomy tower. Closing her eyes, Karina yanked, then opened them and stifled a gasp. Back in Russia, Karina's PASSION was watching the stars. Wales being inhabited by castles, there wasn't enough electricity to stifle the stars, and Karina was outside every night to watch it religiously. Since her stay at Hogwarts, Karina had only managed to snap up a few star-gazing moments, but this was her best idea yet.
"Teapot..."
muttered Karina, tracing the constellation of a tipping teapot, pouring steam into the magnificent Milky Way. Pulling out her wand, Karina was about to mutter an incantation that would make it a telescope, enough so that she could make out the rings on Saturn, when footsteps below started to sound coming up the stairs. Too light to be the professor, yet with enough meaning to cause Karina's eyes to widen and for her to throw herself back into the dark corner.
