Noah was walking to the great Hall for dinner, once again walking the same path every tuesday afternoon. He was walking straight from class to dinner, a guy needed to eat, and Noah loved his food. His sisters are always complaining that he ate too much, but he always laughed at them and walked away. Of course they didn't like that too much. But what else could he say? He was a growing boy.
There had seemed to be a large amount of weight in Noah's bag that eavining, and he couldn't understand why, forgetting that he was meant to take some books to the library, that he was finished with. Forgetting the he was meant to be heading the other way and taking the fourth floor, where the Library was, Noah's bag gave way, and a loud ripping sound came from the weak threading. He had been meaning to send his parents an owl asking them to send him a new bag from Diagon Alley. His memory seemed to have been letting him down lately.
All Noah's books seemed to have landed in a big pile on the floor, and seeing the books that where in his bag he finally remebered, what it was he had to do. But of course walking this path was now habbit and routine.
Noah, hit his forhead with his hand because of his stupidity and forgetfullness, and then he bent down to pick up all his books, which there where about six text books and four writing books. No wonder his bag gave way, he was just lucky the bag lasted this long.

A pretty 13-year-old girl by the name of Madeline Adrienna Wood (but called Maddie…or else…) wandered through the corridors, bored. She furrowed her eyebrows – there was simply nothing to do! Rolling her large, warm brown eyes, Maddie sighed as she continued wandering, not exactly happy. Hogwarts had been so boring lately! She was actually starting to miss home – a LOT.
As if on cue when she started to think about home, a loud ripping noise came from the opposite end of the hallway. Giggling quietly, Maddie looked over to see that it was her older brother Noah. Rolling her beautiful brown eyes, Maddie walked over to the only Wood son, smiling slightly. “Bag split?” she asked her brother, bending down to help him pick up books. She grabbed her wand and muttered something, sewing the bag back together with magic. “There ye go, No. Hope tha’ helps!” Maddie said cheerfully, using one of the dorky nicknames she’d given to her brother. There were many – Maddie gave nicknames to everyone, but mostly her friends and family. “So wha’re you doin’ down here?” she asked, tilting her head to the side as she waited for her brother’s answer.

Hogwarts was huge, but still noise travelled further and quicker than a bolt of lightning. The ripping of the bag seemed to echo off the walls, and cause Noah some attention, but luckily it wasn't anyone bad, only his little sister.
The Wood house hold was very warm and loving, Sure they all had their tiffs, but most of the time they got along. Noah had thought himself lucky to be a son of Oliver and Cho Wood. He had heard far worse families, and far worse stories. They where truly lucky.
“Bag split?” came that familiar voice, from the familiar girl.
"No, just thought my books where better off on the ground." Noah joked as he watched his sister mend his bag, she was a smart little girl.
“There ye go, No. Hope tha’ helps!” Noah always smiled or laughed at the names Maddie comes up with. He found them amusing, even when they where having a fight, she would call him some name that would just stun him, and he would have to fight with all his will to not laugh or smile.
"Thanks Mads.. that will help quiet a bit I suspect." He replied to her with a wink.
“So wha’re you doin’ down here?”
Noah shook his head in disbelief, had she really needed to ask that question? "Well I was trying to discreetly sneak out of the castle to cause some havoc, but you know me..." Noah said rolling his eyes, indicating that noise followed him where ever he went. But of course he was joking, and with a short pause he threw his arm around his sisters neck and ruffled up her hair playfully. "What do you think I was doing dork? I was going to dinner." he while laughing and releasing his sister, before she got violent and hurt him. She was as strong as she was smart, not a good mix to mess with.

"No, just thought my books where better off on the ground."
Maddie rolled her eyes. "Aye, I see. So I suppose bumping into walls would be the next part o' your big plan?" she said with a laugh. There was something about Maddie and plans. She always made up huge, complicated ones that never worked. They were all somewhat of a joke, but she didn't really care. Everything always seemed to figure itself out in the end.
"Thanks Mads.. that will help quiet a bit I suspect."
"I 'ope so...wouldn' wan' another detention!" Maddie said with a mischievous grin. If any of the Wood children got detentions the most, it was her. For the stupidest yet funniest things. She was considered one of the Weasley twins of her generation - always up to something, always playing pranks or joking around, but never getting in so much trouble that she was expelled. Why, she was only a third year, but she had gotten most detentions than a few 7th years put together!
"Well I was trying to discreetly sneak out of the castle to cause some havoc, but you know me..."
"I always knew ye'd join me on th' Dark Side!" Maddie said dramatically with another trademark mischievous grin. "Welcome tae th'...err...Evil People!" she said, not being able to contain her laughter. God, that had to be her best name yet - the Evil People? Even she knew it was retarded. But it was definitely Maddie, alright.
"What do you think I was doing dork? I was going to dinner."
"Hey!" she protested when Noah started ruffling her hair. When he let go, she laughed. "Scared o' wha' I migh' do if ye held on any longer, eh?" she teased, laughing.

Natalie was running down a corridor, late as usual. She sighed, trying to remember why she had made a scedule for herself. Then she remembered the reason that wasn't so stupid. She had to get to dinner so she could finish in time for quiddich practice AND time to study. Whoever said all Ravenclaws were bloody brilliant should see me, she thought. She laughed at herself a bit, slowing down. Screw her plan, she would get to dinner when she felt was right, and take as long to eat as she wanted! But that didn't work for long either, she started running again. She came to a staircase and a grin spread across her playful face. She hoisened her bag to the other side and sat down at the top of the banister, then slid all the way down. At the bottom she jumped off, landing gracefully on her feet. She stood there for a moment, puzzled. She hadn't fell!! Miss Klutz hadn't fallen! She jumped up and down, randomly celebrating. In mid jump she spotted two people. She froze for a moment before realizing who they were. When she did she ran to them, laughing. "Well if it isn't My two favorite people!" She teased.

"Well if it isn't My two favorite people!"
Maddie stopped teasing her brother and turned to see a brunette girl, who appeared to be Noah's age, dancing around in the corridor. She started giggling insanely - something she did a lot, come to think of it. Then Maddie realized it was Natalie, and grinned. "Nat!" she said with a laugh. "I shouln' be surprised!"

Natalie laughed more, her short brown hair flying everywhere. "Yes, it is me. And you should of known it was me from the moment i slid down the banister. But i got news for YOU! I didn't fall!!" She said laughing. It had always been a longrunning joke that Natalie was so random it made her unbalenced, causing her to be a very klutzy person. But she didn't care. Maddie was one of her good friends, and they had been for a long time, they had so many inside jokes it was sad.

"Aye, I see. So I suppose bumping into walls would be the next part o' your big plan?" How could one not laugh at that? Noah chuckled. "No actually hadn't thought of that, thanks for the idea." He replied still laughing. Sometimes his younger sister really surprised him with some of the things she said. "I 'ope so...wouldn' wan' another detention!" Noah shook his head, how could one person get themselves in so much trouble? It must come with the house. There were always trouble makers in Gryffindor. And some people think the Slytherins are the bad assess! Maybe they are in their evil sense, but when it comes to trouble, Noah had to hand it to the Gryffindors, there was at least one in each year. "Don't tell me you have a detention already! What will I do with you." Noah said shaking his head while pilling his books back into his bag. "I always knew ye'd join me on th' Dark Side! Welcome tae th'...err...Evil People!" Noah was a fun person, who loved to joke and loved to laugh, and when ever he was around people, the day just seemed to get brighter. "Yes I see the Sun fading now" Noah replied with the dramatic sense his sister had given off. "Thank you for the welcome, I feel at home already." He replied with a touch of seriousness, but anyone who knew Noah well enough would know he was joking, he hated the 'dark arts.' It was too sad, and too serious, and it was destroying the ' happy' world. "Hey! Scared o' wha' I migh' do if ye held on any longer, eh?" Noah, laughed, bur before he could agree another voice entered the corridor. "Well if it isn't My two favourite people!" Noah turned to see it was Natalie Smith, a nice, energetic girl, who happened to be a friend of Noah's and Maddie's. "Congratulations in not falling Natalie!" Noah said with a laugh as he listened to the girls conversation.

Natalie turned when Noah spoke to her and smiled perhaps to large of a smile, even for her. Before turning back to Maddie. For as long as she could remember, she had had a crush on him. No, wait. That wasn't right. Second year, Maddie still wasn't at Hogwarts. She had no idea when she had started liking him but it was toward the beggining of the year. She had tried to fight it not wanting to destroy their friendship, and that had become even easier when Maddie arrived.

"Don't tell me you have a detention already! What will I do with you."
Maddie couldn't help but reply to this remark. If Cho Wood found out, well...she might just explode. And that was putting the situation lightly. She couldn't seem to grasp the fact that her daughter was a third-generation Marauder, or whatever they seemed to call Maddie. "No..." she said slowly. "More like...3. But don' tell mum! She'll kill me!" Maddie said, again overdramatic.
"Yes I see the Sun fading now. Thank you for the welcome, I feel at home already."
"Noah, d'ye think we could get Nat tae join us in our...ques' agains' good?" Maddie joked, laughing. "Wha' d'ye say, Nat?" she grinned. Maddie and evil didn't exactly mix. Everyone always said there was a reason why she wasn't in Slytherin - she was so hyper and happy, they'd all murder her within her first hour as a Slytherin.
"Congratulations in not falling Natalie!"
"Aye, tha'd be the firs' time!" Maddie joked, laughing again. There wasn't a day where she didn't laugh. Life was simply too short not to have some fun...or at least, that's what Madeline Wood thought. "So why're ye down here, Natalie?"

Natalie laughed at the two, secretly she bet they could have their own show together. She could garenty one watcher! Then Maddie turned to her, "Noah, d'ye think we could get Nat tae join us in our...ques' agains' good?" "Wha' d'ye say, Nat?" She laughed, Maddie defenetly had that effect on people. Something Natalie wished she had. "Me, join you to in taking the world to a new low? You know that kind of dedication might take my mind away from studying... but then again, studying is good." She shook her head trying not to laugh loud enough for it to echo. "Maybe." she said.
"Aye, tha'd be the firs' time!" Natalie nudged her. She knew she was joking, but she couldn't resist. "I am not ALWAYS clumsy you know.. there was that time..." She stopped, pretending to be thinking of times when she hadn't been miss clumsy. Then Maddie said something again, and she listened. Maddie had the reputation for being quite a chatterbox. But sometimes Natalie gave her a run for her money...
"So why're ye down here, Natalie?" A smile spread across her face. "Oh you know, the usual. Scaring little kids, trying to fight off the tremendous amout of boys stalking me, skippin classes, making out with the head of the Slytherin quiddich team." She laughed at her own story, all things she would never do... well most of them. "No, just going down to dinner. I had a plan thing set out, but i decided to toss it." She smiled again, hanging out with Maddie always brought a smile to her face, no matter what she was feeling.

"No... More like...3. But don' tell mum! She'll kill me!"
Noah gave a chocking laugh, of surprise. Not at the 'not tell mum' part, he had only heard that too many times. But at the fact Maddie had already received 3 detentions. Noah would have asked what she had done this time, but he decided it was not the time nor place for such discussions. "Oh I dunno, I guess I could forget about it, but you owe me!" He said not making up something quick enough for her to do for him, so he would keep it from his mother.
"Me, join you to in taking the world to a new low? You know that kind of dedication might take my mind away from studying... but then again, studying is good. Maybe."
Natalie replied to Maddie, and Noah had to shake his head, after he admired Natalie’s laugh, he always loved hearing her laugh, it was quiet unique, and sometimes he would even tickle her just to hear her laugh. "Ravens..." Noah said shaking his head in shame, "All the same, can't stay away from the books... Don't worry little sis, she would be following our steps in know time." He said smirking, and of course joking.
"Oh you know, the usual. Scaring little kids, trying to fight off the tremendous amount of boys stalking me, skipping classes, making out with the head of the Slytherin quidditch team."
Noah laughed, he couldn't see Natalie doing any of those things. "And here I thought I was the only Quidditch captain in your life." Noah said as if he were heart broken and disappointed. But if only Noah knew, he would probably not have said that, if he had known that Natalie had a crush on him, he wouldn't of said it. Noah wasn't insensitive or careless, he hated hurting people and always tried to say the right thing and tried not to offend anyone. It proved to be quiet a difficult job, as one doesn't know everything another thinks and feels.
"No, just going down to dinner. I had a plan thing set out, but i decided to toss it."
So Noah wasn't the only one hungry, he was not the only one on earth who felt the growl and emptiness of the stomach. He liked that about girls, the ones who are true to their selves and don't try to impress people. "Dinner sounds good..." He said nodding his head, "Plan? Like schedule? Good choice in tossing it. You have to live life a second at a time." Noah said trying to sound serious, but really who took him seriously? Except for when he was having a deep and meaningful conversation with someone.
Noah hated schedules, he hated plans, he liked the suspense, he liked being spontaneous. Plans make a path for you, and no plan means that you lay one paver at a time.

Natalie smiled and listened to the two siblings talk a while.
"Ravens..." "All the same, can't stay away from the books... Don't worry little sis, she would be following our steps in know time." Natalie placed her hands on her hips trying to act mad. And failing because they could both see the smile trying to take over the frown on her face. "I don't know. Some of us could suprise even you!" She manged to say before laughing.
"And here I thought I was the only Quidditch captain in your life." Natalies hands fell from her hips and her smile faultered, but only for a second. Then it was replaced with half a fake smile. "Eh well, hate to break your heart!" She said trying to laugh, but her heart wasn't in it. ...if only he knew... she thought. Yes, other then the captin of her own team who she admired greatly, he could be considered the only capin in her life. She realeased her fake smile and stood their for a while not sure what to do. But his next comment brought her smile right back on. The real one.
"Plan? Like schedule? Good choice in tossing it. You have to live life a second at a time."
Natalie nodded, she knew exactly what he ment. And that was why she had ended up tossing it. "Yes, just like a secdule, i got tired with it after half a day." She said smiling. Her hunger adding up each second.
She had always liked order in her life, taking things the way they were thrown at her had never been appealing. But this year a lot of things had changed. She did things she never would have dreamed of and fallen for guys that she shouldn't have. This year was a big change for her.

"Oh I dunno, I guess I could forget about it, but you owe me!"
"Really? Thanks...and I'll fin' some way," Maddie replied with a smile and shrug. Her older siblings, Noah and Andromeda, were constantly hiding her countless detentions from a somewhat-stern Cho Wood. Even though she usually found out anyway...
"Ravens... All the same, can't stay away from the books... Don't worry little sis, she would be following our steps in know time." "I don't know. Some of us could suprise even you!"
Maddie rolled her eyes, laughing. "Nah, ye'll join us one o' these days!" she joked with a mischievous grin. "Once we get ye tae stop studyin' all th' bloody time, tha' is."
"And here I thought I was the only Quidditch captain in your life." "Eh well, hate to break your heart!"
Maddie had to try her very hardest not to burst out with laugher. She nearly cracked a rib. Noah and Natalie were both completely oblivious, so much that it was hilarious to Madeline Wood. "I'm sure!" she said with a giggle.
"Dinner sounds good...Plan? Like schedule? Good choice in tossing it. You have to live life a second at a time." "Yes, just like a secdule, i got tired with it after half a day."
"I like plans!" Maddie protested, then rethought what she said. "Wait, nevermind...mine never work anyways," she said with a shrug. "But I hate schedules! Life should nae be dictated!" she said in a fake angered way. Maddie was weird like that. But it was probably why everyone loved her so much.

Natalie laughed slightly looking around avoiding both of their eyes. For seperate reasons, but good ones anyway.
"Once we get ye tae stop studyin' all th' bloody time, tha' is." She smiled, "Hey! I don't study all the time! If i did i would have no time for partying! And I'll tell you something. Ravens can throw some wicked parties!" She annonced proudly. Okay, so maybe it was HER who threw most of the parties, but who was she to brag?
"I'm sure!" Nat threw her a look, but quickly gave up. It would just get Maddie to laugh even more. At Maddie laughing at something unexplained was normal, but might cause Noah to ask questions. But she needn't worry becuase miss Chatterbox had let something else come out of her mouth.
"I like plans!" "Wait, nevermind...mine never work anyways," Natalie laughed, again. Maddie's plans did tend to eh... backfire. But she had had a couple plans that at least made half way through to completion! "Not always.... wait.. i'm tying to think of one that worked.." She said with a sly grin on her face.
