It was late. Really, really late at night. And most of the occupants of Gryffindor house were already up in their dormitories asleep. But not Leni. She had to be in the library now. Because of course, Leni waited until the last minute to start on her Charms essay. Brilliant, right? Of course. She was definitly her father's daughter. It wasnt really her fault, honestly. She had very important things to do in the week that it was assigned. Very important matters, like watching Gryffindor Quidditch practice and well... other things. Bugger off!
But Leni was beat tired. And while she only had one paragraph done, she had already fallen asleep. Parchment was spread out over the table and her quill and ink bottle were...somewhere else. Leni, on the other hand, was bent over the table, her arm serving as a pillow for her head with her red hair falling over her eyes. Leni was what you could say, a deep sleeper. For the most part. Basically, Leni slept really deep when she needed to do an assignment. She didnt know why but it just happened. Yet another thing that definitly made Leni her father's daughter. Really.

Katie Weasley walked into the library. She appeared to be looking for something...perhaps a book for her class the next day - Katie taught Charms at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She was a good teacher, and many of her students loved her, but even Katie would admit that she was sometimes irresponsible.
Like now. Of course she waited until midnight to find the book she needed - go figure. Good thing her daughter Casey hadn't inherited her procrastination. Katie searched among the books, pulling her hair back into a messy bun, something she seemed to do often. Katie was looking through the third or fourth bookcase to find her 2nd year niece, Leni, napping over homework. She smiled slightly, that was just like Leni.
Katie crept over to her niece quietly, shaking her awake. "Len? It's Aunt Katie. You fell asleep over your homework," she said with a laugh.

Leni shifted a bit as she felt someone's arm shaking her awake. She mumbled something incoherant and turned over, willing herself to keep her eyes closed. Leni despised homework with a passion. Or any kind of work really. But essays the most - she found them stuiped and a waste of time. Definitly not Hermione-like at all. So anyone could tell Leni got most of her genes from her father, Ronald Weasley.
She cracked open her eyes ever so slightly to see her Aunt Katie standing over her, laughing softly. Leni nodded sleepily and closed her eyes again. "I know." She murmered and yawned. "Homework is a very comfortable pillow - only thing it's good for really..." Leni's vioce trailed off as she relutantly opened her eyes again and sat up, stretching her arms over her head. Out of all her aunts - and Leni had many - Katie was one of her favorites.
"What're you doing here Aunt Katie?" Leni asked through a yawn, but hid it behind her hand.

"I know. Homework is a very comfortable pillow - only thing it's good for really..."
Katie smiled and sat down next to her niece. One thing about being a Weasley - her family had increased in size by at least three! She had many nieces, but Leni was one of her favorites. She reminded Katie of herself when she was younger. "Well, if I wasn't a teacher, I'd agree with you...but seeing as I am, it would likely break some sort of code," Katie replied mischievously, laughing slightly. True, she hated giving out homework. But it was something she was inclined to do as a professor.
"What're you doing here Aunt Katie?"
"Finally finding something for class tomorrow," she answered, sighing. "I put it off as long as I could, but I do need a few materials..." Katie shook her head. Merlin, she acted like such a kid sometimes.

"But you dont have to give out homework, Aunt Katie." Leni said with a sly smile and laughed softly. Oi. That would be bloody brilliant - to not get assignments or essays or examns. Or anything! Leni would be perfectly happy playing Quidditch all day - which was her master plan anyway. She just hasnt told anyone about it yet. "Really. You can just let it slide and then you'll be the favorite professor in Hogwarts."
Leni nodded to this, her face utmost serious. Almost Hermione-like that it was scary. But it was all until she cracked a smile to her favorite aunt. Leni yawned once more and leaned her elbows on the table, resting her head in one of her hands.
"D'you really have to?" She asked hopefully and raised a ginger colored eyebrow. "Because it's okay if you dont. All of us will live - I swear." Leni nodded once more quickly, as if she was trying to convince her aunt to not do anything during her classes. Wouldnt that be nice?

"But you dont have to give out homework, Aunt Katie. Really. You can just let it slide and then you'll be the favorite professor in Hogwarts."
Katie laughed amusedly. “Blimey, I wish that were the case, Leni. But if I don’t give you homework, no one will practice, and then you’ll all fail your exams,” she replied in an adult way. Her face looked horrified. “Blimey, I sound the way McGonagall did when I was in school!” she said, laughing.
"D'you really have to? Because it's okay if you dont. All of us will live - I swear."
Katie smiled. “Believe me, I don’t want to. That just means more papers to grade. But I want all of you prepared for the real world. Unlike Umbridge did to us…” she said, rolling her ocean blue eyes. “Did your mum and da tell you about her?”

Leni snickered and shook her head a bit at her Aunt. Sometimes - her Aunt Katie would act more like a kid than an adult. And it was bloody brilliant. "But I cant fail - not with a Mum like mine." She said, eyes twinkling with laughter. "But then again - I am more like my Dad than anything... so I would probably fail." Leni shruged and smiled back to her Aunt. It was worth a try, at least.
The name sounded so familiar, and Leni knew her Dad had told her about it before. Chewing on her bottem lip a bit and knitting her eyebrows together as she wracked her brain on the name Umbridge. She often has this look on her face playing chess - another gift she recieved from her father.
"She was the toad, right? The one that went barking mad and was carried off by centaurs?" Leni couldnt help the amused smirk forming on her face. It really was too funny.
