It was well past midnight, and like usual Seth was still wide awake. He had been sitting in the Slytherin boy's dormitories trying to sleep, attempting to sleep, but it was impossible. He had drifted off to sleep at first, but his dreams were riddled by nightmares which caused him to wake up in a cold sweat. He couldn't take it much longer so he got up, got dressed, and left. He had thrown on the first clothes that he had seen, which were a white button down school shirt, and a pair of ragged jeans which looked like they had seen better days. The shirt had a few stray stains on it, ink stains mostly but there was the occasional paint stain. After leaving the dormitory he had just started walking, running at one point, to get out of the maze that proved to be the dungeons of Hogwarts, and into the entrance hall. He found himself stuck on the ground floor after he emerged from the steps that led down into the dungeons. There was space here alright, so at least he could shake the feeling of being closed in, but there wasn't a broom closest, which he had been hoping for.
Seth began to search the empty walls for any hole or secret panel, or a door of any sort. He was just looking for a way out. It would get his mind off of his nightmares, and everything else. It was always good to have a break every once and a while, but he was getting addicted to it.

Katie walk at a brisk, fast pace, heading toward the common room. It was a dark, moonless night and the shadows danced around the corridor like puppets on a string. The empty hallway echoed the sounds of each step she took, sending shivered up her spine. The slightest movement made her turn quickly to see the source as she proceeded onwards.
This is stupid. I can't let shadows agrivate me like this. she said in her head. Katia walked on as she took a quick glance over the large, frameless window. It was the night of a full moon. She shivered again at the thought of werewolves and looked around suspiciously as to see someone. But all she saw was darkness and more darkness at that.
Katia was about to turn the corner as she heard the sound of footsteps. She froze in her tracks as she heard it, whatever it was, inching slowly towards her direction. With her wand clutched in the right hand, Katie waited for the source of the sound to come into sight, praying it wasn't a werewolf. But why would there be a werewold inside the school in the first place. She rolled her eyes at her own ignorance and pressed herself against the cool, stone wall.

Seth had heard the footsteps of another somewhere distantly in the back of his mind. His frustration at the abscence of a broom closet, or any closet at all was mounting as he stopped in front a blank wall. He had checked the room twice, despite the fact that he had known very very well that before he even entered the room that there were no closets here. He faced a blank wall, grey and stone cold, leaning forward he placed both his hands palm up on it. Pushing it with a large amount of force, to take his frustration out. He hit the wall a couple times, not doing much damage to his hand to start with because he couldn't hit that hard having barely any muscle at all to start with. He sighed and nearly yelled out in anger. Finally he was nearing the end of it, he gave in to the resigned feeling of dryness. The feeling of torment and of helplessness. He threw his back against the cold wall and slumped towards the ground, his feet stretched out in front of him. Seth easily got high on pain, but physical pain because mental torment had always been to much for him. He rubbed a hand against the rough stone floor, looking for any jagged rocks or edges. He needed to break something, to chip away at something, other than his current state of insanity. It would come back to him later, the fact that he was dry right now, and the fact that he would be dry until tomorrow.
Leaning his head back against the wall, the hard cold stone surface sent chills down his back for a moment. The surprise countering them was somehow comforting. He liked to give in, he liked to give up. Usually it was better than this when he had something to work with. Letting it out always made him feel better afterwards. It was better for him to spend his pent up anger, frustration and energy on his self-destructive behavior rather than leave it to build up and take it out on others. Amazing he was something of a sick twisted pacifist, but only when it came to innocence, he couldn't hurt a child before a certain age. But hurting an adult was different. An adult was all corruption anyway, there weren't many pure ones left out there, so he had deemed it alright. Seth rubbed the back of his neck and ran a hand through his hair now focusing on the seemingly empty open hall before him. Had he heard footsteps earlier, or had he been imagining it?

Katie closed her eyes as she took a deep breath. Slowly reopening it again, she held in the oxygen as her grip on her wand tighten. She exhaled and then thought to herself, There are no werewolves inside this school... If it's a student, I am so going to kick their butt..but if it's a teacher... " Lumos!" A silver light extended from her wand, lighting up the corridor before her. Katie glanced around the empty corridor before her. Was she just imagining all of it?
She snapped back to reality as lifted her head up, ready to fight whoever it was. It was then her eyes landed on the familar face of a Slytherin house mate. Katie raised her brows slightly as she said, "Seth?"

Seth had startled at the sound of a spell practically shouted down the hall way. It was loud. Very loud and in a familiar voice to. He could only begin to wonder who was standing at the other end of the hall way and why he had been so blind as to not hear them coming. He had been to engulfed in his own thoughts and concerns to even consider another person being in the corridor. It was odd how it always seemed to be that way for him when it came down to several very big problems and issues in his life. It was always the same sort of drug-like daze when he considered the issues and a way to close them out of his own mind. His squinted as the flood of light came towards him from the Lumos spell. He couldn't see well, so he couldn't tell if he knew this girl. By her voice he could tell that the person was a she. It didn't surprise him any further when a few minutes after the light had reached his face, which he was now shielding and squinting from, the same voice now called out his name in form of a question.
"The one and only." Seth replied, his voice mirroring a causual tone mixed with some sarcasim. "Could you put that light out?" He asked her, he didn't sound angry, just temporarily blinded. He wanted to see who his aggressor was too, although he was sure that they meant him no harm at all. He could only guess now that he knew them. They were on first name terms so it definitely wasn't one of his enemies.
