Maria Potter smiled to herself as she wandered along the winding streets of Hogsmeade. She was glad to be out and away from the school. Her friends were all gathered around her as they always did. But by the time she rounded a corner she had managed to leave them behind staring in a store window.
She breathed a sigh of relief and watched the snow slowly falling down. Flaking her black school robes with miniscule flecks of white. She loved snow and Hogsmeade always looked more magical covered in it.
From one of her hands there hung a shopping bag. She'd of course stopped by Honeydukes to pick up some of her favourite sweets. She spotted a comfortable looking spot up a hill. A little way off from the Shrieking Shack. She climbed up to it and tore her robe from her shoulders. Placing it lightly on the ground she sat down atop it.
She sat back and stared up into the branches of the tree she was sitting under. She had never felt happier and more contented. Until she heard an all too familiar voice trying to talk to her...
