ooc: open to anyone to replyh to ic: Every one knew that the forest was out of bounds, but how many people actually Listened? How many people got up and walked into the depths of the trees saying "Nothing will happen to me". A lot of people, mostly the Slytherins, but over the years Lily had found that the 'brave' Gryffindors had the same attitude, and even some Hufflepuffs did as well. It was quiet a shock. The night sky was lit up with stars and the 1/2 moon. There was no need for a wand at the moment, she could see very well where her feet where going. She carried a big book and three pencils, all different shades of charcoal. When the bright Serpentess couldn't sleep she usually drew or went walking. And this night she did both. There was only one reason why the young girl may have not been able to sleep. Probably because of the excitement of being back at Hogwarts. Sometimes it got boring and lonely at home. Her father would only talk to her when she insisted on it. Which was the only time they would ever talk. She couldn't help wondering if they would ever just find a Father/Daughter connection. She even considered putting herself in danger, to face death, to show Snape how much he cared about his only daughter. But then she thought of the punishment, the punishment at home was worse than death, she had found that out a couple of times. In front of her stood a huge tree that was just screaming out for her to climb it. She smirked to her self and placed her book and a branch and started to climb. It wasn't a talent or an interest of Lillian's to climb trees, she only did it to get away, to get away from the ground and to feel like she was somewhere else. Sometimes she felt like she was floating along the air while she stood on a branch and looked out through its leaves to be level with so many other trees. There was no other feeling like it. Unless you stood on a cliff edge, which gave a more powerful sense of being free. Lillian grew tired and decided half way up the tree was good enough and took a seat. She then got out her wand and summoned her book. She exhaled deeply, and admired how there was a huge clearing around the tree, and found it quiet weird since it was a forest and trees grew everything. The clearing wasn't like just dirt, it was just shrubs and weeds, but no other trees. Though the clearing only had a radius of about 20 meters. Still enough for it to stand out if someone noticed. Lily shrugged the thought away and opened her book ready to finish her drawing of her mother…. Yes another drawing of her mother. It was her favourite thing to draw, it was like bringing her mother back to life. But each time Lily was finished she was disappointed to no see Essperella standing there smiling at her. But then Lily would find another spare space in her book and start drawing all over again, and tonight was no exception, she started to draw and shade ignoring the rustle of leaves and the slight noise in the air that indicated someone was coming her way.

[This is because I'm said to be a Post whore who likes to get out there xP ...and I need to rpg with some new people to save my sanity XD]
Seth had been mandering nearby a large tree which overlooked an even larger clearing. It was funny how things worked in these woods, things always seemed to get larger and scarier the further in you walked. Today was no exception, especially at the hour. He had gone out to get high, he had missed his usual hour today and found that he was dying for a joint near the end of the day. But he had waited patiently until the cover of darkness had come. He was more honorable now than just set up anywhere, since the teachers seemed to be on the prowl more than usual. Seth was sure that he needed to graduate to persue a career.... in while....anything, so he put at the top of his list of things to do. It was even higher than the mere activity of getting high, which was something that was weird especially considering what his priorities had been the majority of his own life.
Fresh autmn leaves crunched underfoot as he made his way near the large tree. He had been walking for quite some time and the joint in his hand was nearly spent. He took the last couple of drags and dropped it near his feet. He pushed his shoe over it, snubbing it into the ground before looking up. He was examining the clearing in front of him, he could have sworn moments ago that he had heard noises coming from this very area. Seth knew well enough not to trust his senses, especially at a time like this. It was useless to even try. He blinked several times seeing that it was empty and it had all been 'imagined' to start with. Seth hands feel immediately into his empty pockets counting the minutes until he was sure that he could allow himself a cigarette, which would be his third of the day. He wasn't trying to make himself into a chain smoker, it was just kind of happening slowly. Too slowly for him to control. Yawning Seth leaned heavily against the large tree, his hands in his pockets, as he studied the forest around him that now seemed ten times greener and full of life. Everything came to life when he was in this state of mind. He felt a little dizzy, but he knew that the feeling would wear off soon enough. The only thing on his mind now was the girl that he had met a night ago in that room in the Great Hall. It was a wonder that he still remembered the incident with all the brain cells that he didn't have. But somehow it had marked something in his life, and in his heart. It was significant and he felt like he had to go after her now. He just didn't know where to start. A twig snapped under his foot, and his startled at the sound, not realizing that it had been caused by himself. He looked down and realized that underneath the tree was a scattered pile of assorted items that usually fall from a tree. Seth shook his head and laughed out loud at his stupidity.

The night time was so peaceful, the only sounds around would be the gently rustles of leaves in the soft breeze of the fallen sun. This night there was to much rustle to be caused by a gentle breeze, but did the Lily girl take notice? no she was in another world, living through her hands, living through her eyes, not her ears.
Lily's ears did not catch the crunching of leaves at the base of the tree, Lily's eyes where too focused on her drawing to see the little circle of red coming from a boy's lips, and she was too lost in her own world to realise that he was standing right under her now. She did not hear the snap of the twig, but she did hear the laugh, it startled her slightly, enough for her to drop her charcoal stick. She watched it fall, it seemed like it took hours for it to finally fall on the boys head.
At a time like this Lily would have laughed, but she was too shocked to see a person standing there to say anything. Instead, Lily placed her book on the branch and climbed down the tree and within a few seconds she jumped and landed next to the smoking boy. "excuse me" she said as she looked for her charcoal stick around the boy's feet.
Some would think that a person would be more concerned in finding out who this person was, or saying sorry in steed of saying nothing at all and just searching for a pencil. After a few moments Lily straightened up holding her pencil and noticing a cigarette in the boy’s possession. Lily herself only smoked and took drugs at parties, or when she could get hold of them. She used to be a quiet girl, sat in class did her work, only talked to people when they talked to her. This lasted only two years of her time at Hogwarts. Now she was wild, she was out of control. Some people at parties look at her and think of her as crazy, and some people who meet her for the first time think she is insane, depending on how she acts.
“Sorry about that.” She said forcing her eyes to the look at the guy in the eye. “So... What was so funny?” She asked remembering what it was that startled her.

Seth hadn't even noticed the loud rustling noise above his head when Lily startled at his own laugh. But he did feel the charcoal stick fall right on top of his head. It landed with a soft thud amid the mass of unkempt black hair, like a blazing plane would into a tightly grown forest. The minute it made contact Seth reached a hand rather hurriedly to his head and tried to brush it out, with several sweeps of his hand. He didn't know what had hit him but he figured it was a bug or a branch of some sort. Somehow it didn't seem to affect him much, his expression was still as bland as it had been when he entered the forest. After several sweeps of his hand through his hair a small stick of charcoal fell onto the forest floor. Seth didn't know what it was right away, because he hadn't seen one before. Whenever he drew he used a pencil. He stared vacantly at the small black cylinder before looking up at the trees where it had come from. Somehow he wasn't surprised when he saw the figure of a girl sitting on a branch right above him. He stepped a few paces to the side to allow her to climb down from the tree. He arched a brow at her when she landed right next to him and questioned him about why he had been laughing. His cigarette had now out since he had arrived at the tree so he wasnt sure if this girl saw him. It was a widely known fact that he did drugs, and that he was always a bit 'out there' during classes and the like, but he wasn't sure if she knew all this. "Nothing at all." Seth replied with a smirk as he ran a hand through his black hair, causing it to push to one side before taking on it's usual windswept look.
Seth didn't seem at all affected by the girl's immediate prescence before him. He had never seen her before, and he was sure that she probably didn't know who he was or else she wouldn't have asked the question that she did. If she had known than the reason for his laughing would have been far to obvious. "From around here?" Seth asked with a yawn as he reached into his pocket to pull out a cigarette, this time it was only tabacco that he would be inhaling. It was a habit of his to start smoking right after he had a joint. He produced the packet and flipped it open knocking out one and inserting it into his mouth before turning to the girl. "Smoke?" He asked her lightly. Seth always offered people cigarettes, he wasn't sure why. It was a habit of his, it might have been considered a social thing, but Seth just enjoyed seeing the smoke pouring from someone else's mouth instead of just his alone. Smoking was a social habit, and it seemed to be a friendly enough gesture to offer someone else a cigarette.

"Nothing at all."Was it a surprise that the guy had not blurted out what it was he was laughing at? Was it in humans to open their thoughts and feelings up to a complete stranger? Lily thought not. She would never Just start telling some random her inner thoughts, those thoughts were precious, valuable and a weapon... A weapon for someone else to use against her... Or that was what her father told her, in one of his surprising out burst of advice giving. 'nothing' 'Don't worry' 'Doesn't matter' All words that come from a person's mouth when they where questioned about their actions, if it would be crying, smiling, laughing or just off in another world. Most people where quiet private when you thought about it. ((ooc: Just letting you know that I like to philosophise a bit in my posts. Letting you know, so your not like, what the hell? )) Lillian wasn't going to dwell on what the guy was laughing about, it had nothing to do with her, he didn't even know she was there. Lily just shrugged and looked around, she felt like she had lost something.... But what? "From around here?"Again he spoke, and he made no sense to Lillian. 'From where exactly?' she thought to herself while looking around the area once again. Of course he didn't mean from the forest... Right? "No I only visit the forest occasionally wasn't born or raised here. But I've been here since my first year, and I was born in London, so hope that answers you question." Lily replied with a laugh, men where so fickle and so amusing. It seemed out of know where the guy had got his packet of cigarettes, or perhaps it was because Lillian wasn't looking. Anyway, she was half surprised. Not surprised because she didn't know them, and surprised because she had never expected him to pull them out. "Smoke?" Lily hesitated, she wasn't much of a smoker, just drinker, and the casual coke. It was rarely that she would smoke a cigarette. She went to take one but stopped herself. "No thanks I'll pass." Why? Why did she pass? She had nothing against the occasional smoke. the reason was she didn't know the person... pft, like Lily cared what was in the smoke, as long as it gave her a boost of something. No Lily just didn't want to smoke just because someone else was. She didn't follow and she didn't lead. "Been doing anything exciting?" She asked just starting conversation, she didn't know this guy, though she had seen him somewhere, he looked familiar. He seemed interesting so far, so Lily thought she would stick around for a bit and see exactly how interesting he is.

[That's all right, philosophy's not a bad topic, but it makes bland reading at times o.O ... ]
"I wasn't implying that." Seth stated with a yawn and a small chuckle as he pressed the cigarette back to his lips, manuevering the packet back into his pocket at the same time after Lillian had declined. He didn't think that she would accept his offer, not many did. Not many smoked though, so he always kept that fact in mind. It killed to fast for some people, Seth just considered it an obsession and a habit that was ten times more healthier than weed and less lethal too. It was an addiction that he wasn't even considering kicking anytime soon. It had been around to long for him to part with it yet, he'd give it another decade when he really started dying. Not today though. Today was just the start of things. He hadn't have thought that Lillian would have taken his question personally, he was just asking her about the general area of England and London. He knew a few people that had transferred in from other schools, as strange as that was, it did happen. He raised a brow at her as he took another drag on his cigarette, contentedly puffing smoke into the night air in front of him. He watched it drift and than disappear, his mind working slower than usual. He enjoyed the break, being out in the fresh air, despite the fact that he was surrounded by smoke that he was making, he was still enjoying himself. When Seth finally came to realize that Lily had answered the rest of his question he nodded idlely and went back to puffing on his cigarette. She hadn't countered his question with one of her own, so he was still good to sit around and remain mute. Sometimes he talked a lot, but most times he was silent. Especially when he wasn't high, being high usually losened his tongue.
"Nonsmoker? You're going to live past 40." Seth informed her as he took another drag on his cigarette this time he exhaled the smoke quickly in a spirt before replacing the cigarette in the side of his mouth. He chewed on the end a little his eyes wandering around the clearing before she asked her next question. He raised his brown eyes and stared a moment before making a move to asnwer it. "Getting high." Seth remarked with a smirk. "You?" He asked her, curiousity hidden completely from view in his tone of voice and expression.

Who could ever say company was boring? Even if the person was boring, how could the company of the person be boring? Even with Lillian's father. He came accross as the boring type, but it was only because he didn't know how to be with Lillian, he wasn't there to learn with her, learn to be a father.... Or so Lillian keeps telling herself.
"I wasn't implying that." Lily smiled and gave a short and soft giggle. She couldn't help but laugh when other people laughed. "No I didn't think so" she replied. Which seemed pretty silly, since if she had an idea he didn't mean what she thought, then why reply as if she didn't know? There was no reason. It was just Lillian Snape.
"Nonsmoker? You're going to live past 40." Lillian laughed. There were other ways of slowly killing your self than just smoking ciggerettes.
"My Mother died when I was 10 and I don't know how or why she died and my father neglects me, do you really think that I'm a goody, goody angle?" She said laughing. "So I recon I would probably live to about 42." She added with a wink, of course joking. She didn't know how long she would live too, all she knew is that she could die tomorrow.
Predicting death would probably the biggest wish a person could have. Perdicting when yourself is going to die, or when your loved one will. But then all those thoughts created was 'Maybe' and "Could have's'. No one needed them, they only made you insain.
"Getting high. You?" Lillian smirked with Seth. She knew exactly what he meant by getting high. But she had other ways of getting high. Like danger, she felt more alive facing death, then being safe. Who ever said Lily was normal?
But of course Lillian took drugs, but mostly when she was partying. Some people where weird about it though. They would never say, but you could see it in their eyes and face. But At least she knew that if she was ever at a party with Seth he wouldn't care.
"Interesting" She simply said nodding her head slightly. "Me? Hmmm, nothing interesting, I've been pretty quiet lately." She answered the question making a mental note that she really needed to sneak out and go to a club or something. She had been to quiet, and too boring. She needed to do something, she was surprised that she hadn't started to get unsettled, and full of energy, or just feel really bord, which is what happens when she hadn't been out in a while. The last time she was out was two days before returning to Hogwarts. For her that was a long time.

Seth raised an eyebrow when Lillian mentioned her parents, he hadn't said anything to even work that into their current conversation. He shrugged the minor definicy off, and decided to go along with it. Seth hated it when people complained, he hated it bitterly, especially when people complained about their parents, dead or not. He hated hearing other's talk about their families, it reminded him of what he had never really had much of. He sighed taking another longer on his cigarette and discarding the excess ash off the tip of it by tapping it against the tree trunk which he was leaning against. Seth blinked a couple times at her comment and gave a yawn, "I never implied that one either." He commented with a weak smirk. Everything seemed to have slowed down a minute, and started to rewind. Their whole conversation was being backtracked in Seth's head before it came back to where they had left off. Seth felt like his head was swimming too, too many ideas and thoughts in one place, and noise.
"Interesting." Seth repeated out loud just shaking his head. The responses that he got these days after he told people what he liked to do were priceless, although he could barely remember half of them. He laughed a little bit to loudly as he took another drag on his cigarette exhaling the smoke quickly and still shaking his head. This girl was a little off, but he wasn't in his right mind either. Whenever he told people something like that they either doubted him and called him a liar, told him that it wasn't a good thing to do, or asked to join him. Her comment had been somehow a neutral one that didn't imply anything or push him anywhere.

Lillian, was keeping no secrets, she didn't care if people knew her father, or if they knew her mother. She spoke openly about it. She was not offended, and she was not ashamed, so why not talk about it? Sure some of her past was sad, but why sit around and cry about it? Why hold it in pretending that it didn't happen?
Not speaking about your family or past, was like ignoring it. To Lillian it was like that, and to Lillian it felt like she was ashamed or even abandoning her mother if she did not speak about her, if Lillian didn't tell people about her kind heart, her beauty and her wild personality. Lillian wasn't going to hide behind fake smiles and pretend her emotions aren’t real. She was going to live the way people where meant to live.
"I never implied that one either."
Lillian rolled her eyes, and resisted a laughed. "Perhaps then you should be specific in your questions and then you will get answers you want." She said in a normal neutral tone, she wasn't angry or offended by the boy, she was mostly amused if anything. How can someone ask questions and not be happy with the answers? Lillian couldn't read minds and she couldn't read the opposite sex. So she didn't try to please anyone, she just said what she thought.
"Interesting."
Lily could tell the conversation wasn't going anywhere, it was dyeing a slow death. "So are you always this talkative? Or am I the only one who has the pleasure?" She asked not ready to call it a night just yet.

Seth hadn't been aware that he had been looking for any answers. At least any in their general conversation. He was always looking for answers but not the type that could be causually dropped in a conversation like this one with a stranger. Her reply had been weird enough to make Seth surface and face reality a little bit more than he had been doing in the last paragraph of conversation. He had been slightly zoned out, which most likely showed in his expression. He was only half paying attention, but it was still something compared to what it could have been. He could have been somewhere else entirely while Lillian was talking to him. "Perhaps." Seth commented as he took another drag on his cigarette exhaling the smoke slowly. He moved a hand behind him touching the rough bark of the tree, the feeling of it underneath his fingers was somehow very surreal. It felt as if it weren't happening, yet he knew it was. "Only when I'm high." Seth replied, his voice displayed a low sort of calm. He looked very relaxed as he leaned back into the tree taking another puff off of his cigarette. Seth knew that he had a tendency to be very quite, smoking usually losened his tongue a little and got him talking. It made him more outgoing than he usually was, but only when he was high. It was porribly because the drugs gave him some kind of blind confidence that he could use with everyone. It was something that he always didn't have, he could be shy at times too. Today wasn't one of those days though.
