'Ah...such a blissful and peaceful day out. The sun's shining, the day's rather quiet and yet I feel eased in my heart and mind' Damien thought to himself while he laid within the garden's. He knew that with things having troubled his mind lately and just the knowledge that he awaited a package from home was something he knew he needed. Damien's medication was to arrive any day now and lately his found peace to keep his heart from stressing out lately. With the hole in his heart at bay and held together he knew he didn't want to cause his body any stress that could cost him his own life. Yawning slightly to himself, Damien continued to lay there in the gardens while staring up at the cloudless sky with those piercing icy blue eye's of his.
Damien had been dressed warmily while feeling that the day had going by without trouble. Atleast he knew that so far it has been quiet at the moment. Playing with his hair for a moment he continued to lay there until he tired of laying on his back. Changing position's into a more seated position he sat there in peace while looking around the school grounds for any sign of anyone. In the distance a figure was walking towards him but he couldn't tell who it was so he stared skywards once again.

'What's wrong with this school?' Noelle thought bitterly, glaring at her classmates as they "made nice" by giving gifts to each other, complimenting, and even hugging each other, finally getting to see each other at the start of term. Noelle wasn't much one for hello's. Goodbye was more her speed. She was used to it, and it happened often. She didn't even have a problem killing anything, or anyone, for that matter. She used to sit in her room for hours, praying some type of bug would come along and she could kill it. Her parents weren't worried. No, they were proud. Proud she was already looking forward to killing and destroying. But, even so, they were a bit worried about how out-of-hand she might get.
And that's when they chose music.
Mr. and Mrs. Crabbe figured that Noelle would need a better outlet for her "rage". At first, they signed her up for piano lessons. That lasted about four years before Noelle said the piano was too boring and hexed her teacher for not doing anything interesting. At school, she'd learned about muggle guitars and begged her parents to let her take it up. And that's what they did.
Even if music didn't help calm her down much, Noelle still loved it. The frigidness of winter was settling in, so Noelle figured not many people would be outside. It would be a perfect place to go play. Taking a pair of gloves with the fingertips cut off for playing, Noelle unburied her guitar from the mass clothing piles under her bed and grabbed her cloak on the way out of the dormitory. Glaring at the people who stared at her instrument, Noelle pushed past a few people on the way out. There were hardly any people outside, but there definitely were a few. Climbing a tree near the lake, Noelle began to rack her brain for anything interesting to play. A couple songs popped up, so she started to string the notes. "Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road, time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go. So make the best of this test, and don't ask why. It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time. It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right, I hope you had the time of your life. So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind, hang it on a shelf in good health and good time. Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial, for what it's worth it was worth all the while. It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life. It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life. It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life." Noelle finished as she heard something moving beneath her. Looking over the branches, Noelle noticed there was someone underneath her. Deciding she might as well not approach whoever it was, Noelle strummed a few chords, wondering if they were even going to notice she was up there.

Sitting there in the silent peace he had at the moment it seemed his thoughts were tied up and mixed until he heard it. A voice like no other he has heard before had broken the silence and had made their words flow into his mind and heart. "Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road, time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go. So make the best of this test, and don't ask why. It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time. It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right, I hope you had the time of your life. It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life."
Damien had taken it upon himself to just sit there and listen to the voice that sang those songs. Waving a hand through his hair to ruffle it a bit, he stared forward while just feeling the blissful peace of the day take over for him. Smiling to himself his thoughts turned to those in his family. 'I wonder how Holly's doing back in Durmstrang, it's not like my younger sister to not write to me, but then again she is getting older and probably has been busy' Damien thought to himself about his sister. His family was tight and something he loved since if it wasn't for them he'd probably be buried six feet under ground already.'Blake must be keeping my mother busy, never meet a kid with so much energy, heck he makes me exhausted just watching him' Damien thought while knowing his brother was one hyper child. Damien's parents were two people he loved a lot since they haven't given up on him even when doctors said he wasn't going to live the first few months. Having that confiedence that his parents placed upon him was always a loving gesture to him.
After a few mintues of thinking to himself he looked around for the voice that he heard earlier when he didn't see anyone around him at all. Looking up and around he spotted someone who was obiviously playing a muggle guitar. Looking towards the girl who he was able to atleast figure out the gender with those icy blue eyes of his, he smiled slightly. "Hello" he called out to the girl in the tree while curious to know how long she was up there and how he didn't notice her anytime sooner than now.

"Hello"
Noelle smirked as she slid off the tree branch down to his level. "I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever notice," she said, smirking still. She had been up there for quite a while and she had been loud, too. There was always something about music that got even Noelle a bit unaware of her surroundings. It was as if some strange force tapped into your senses and destroyed your surroundings, except for the wonderful beat that seemed to keep the world turning.
Maybe Noelle's opinion of music was too high. Maybe she was one of the only ones who thought of music as a sanctuary for everything in the world that had ever bothered her. Someone looked at her strange in the hall, a little music erased that part in her memory. A glare from a "so-called" friend? Nothing a little guitar couldn't solve. Even a bad day at school(yes, that means yet another detention) or more down-talking from those above her couldn't keep her from being down as long as she could read the wonderful little lines and circles that kept the world so alive.
It wasn't like her life was horrible or anything. The way Noelle viewed her outlet was the reason she was more cheerful than the rest of the people like her. She didn't freak out about everything(though there are many cases where she had nearly hexed people as far as they could), and she never took out anger on her friends.

"Well I must say that you do have a lovely singing voice, I myself know that I can't sing even with my life on the line" Damien said to her with a short laugh. He knew that he couldn't sing even if someone dragged him on stage and made him sing out loud. Being who he was it was a surprise to him that someone actually took the time to speak to him since he had heard things from others about his little reputation of being anti-social. It wasn't that he was anti-social for a reason, it was more that he didn't want people to know of his heart condition and to start placing pity on him for it.
Actually he was curious to know how others in his own house had viewed him since he barely hung out with anyone of them. He did have a few friends there but even now he barely hung around with them. Looking back at the girl before him and just knowing that he only saw her around the school here and there he figured an introduction was needed and maybe they'd become friends in the end of it. "By the way, the name's Damien Miller" Damien said to her with a soft smile before he held his hand out to shake her hand.
