Laying on the Ground

It was a rather dreary day today, like usual. The sky was a dark gray, and the clouds hid the sun. But Peyton actually seemed to like the cloudy days better than the sunny ones. She hated it when the light shone in your eyes. She hated it when you got all hot and sweaty. I guess you could say Peyton just didn't like being outdoors. And when it was dark and dreary like today, it seemed as if all outside was covered by a shelter, blocking out the sun.


Peyton hadn't any more classes for the day, and had grown tired of sitting in her dorm, watching crappy Soap Opera's. Which was pretty much the only thing that was on this time of day. Which Peyton had gotten sucked into, no matter how stupid the show had been.

In the back of her mind she could hear her head yelling 'Who really cares that Bobby dumped Cindy for Lindsey' , but that wasn't enough to make her quit from staring at the TV. By the time the commercial break had come on, Peyton's jaw was slacked and her eyes were wide, and she knew she had to get out of that room before she got sucked into another episode of 'The Lovers'.


So here she was, laying on the ground, sprawled out on her stomach and a pencil in her hands, her sketch book flipped open to an empty page in front of her. She wasn't sure what she was going to draw yet, she hadn't any inspiration. I better be getting some soon though, before it starts to rain on me.

All her classes where done for the day and she had gone to the common room to see if she could do something. Upon getting there she had discovered that her bloody dorm mates were talking about something totally stupid. She had needed to get some peace and quiet, and from her last class she knew that the weather outside was cloudy and sunless. That is how she liked the weather. When it was all sunny ad warm she would try and avoid going out. Grey and dull was how she like the weather. She especially liked it when it rained. It caused alot of people to be upset and ruined tones of plans.

Finding that the waether was perfect for her liking, she put on her black cloak and headed outside. It would be a good time to go because most people were inside trying to avoid this weather. Heading out into the court yard she continued walking till she got onto the many green lawns. With the castle being in the middle of no where there were many hills that surrounded it.

To her surprise, she spotted someone laying down in the grass, with a book infront of them. Smirking she walked closer to the figure, hoping that they would not notice her approaching. When she was on top ot the hill, Gemini concentrated on the pencil in the persons hand and made it float around infront of them. By now she already knew that the person was non other then her friend and dorm mate Peyton. With her mind still focused on moving the pen she began to write on the paper. Thought you would be inside watching that show you obsess over?, she made the pencil write. She wondered what her reaction to it would be.
