A battle has ended, but a war still stirs between the side of good and evil. A war that will only end when the world will end. Nothing will end the Everlasting War between good and evil. But nobody will say that. They will only say that the ‘war’ has ended. But the war between Harry Potter and Voldemort was no war; it was merely one of the many long battles.
But the long battle between Potter and Voldemort finally ended five years ago, about fifteen years after Harry himself had graduated from Hogwarts. He had gone back to finish his seventh year, even though he had not planned on it. But Hogwarts needed protecting now more than ever with Dumbledore dead. And he knew that he had to learn much more magic before defeating one of the most powerful wizards of all time. So he returned after the summer in which two happy unions occurred. The union of Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley, as well as the union between Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks occurred that summer.
For fifteen years after Harry’s graduation, a fight occurred. But so did life. People wouldn’t stop their lives because a battle was taking a long time to end. People married, children were born, those children went to school, and people died. And people fought. They fought a seemingly endless battle, which finally ended September 27, 2013 when Harry Potter finally defeated Voldemort. The remaining Death Eaters were rounded up and locked in Azkaban which was guarded by a great many Aurors, now that the Dementors had been destroyed because of their being traitor to the Ministry of Magic.
But Harry Potter did not defeat Voldemort alone; no, he defeated them with the help of some people who had been with him all along. As well as some people who most would never suspect of helping him. Such as Draco Malfoy, who joined the Order of the Phoenix after proving he was true to the cause of destroying Voldemort when he killed his own father in a battle between the two sides. He had been on the Death Eater’s side and his father had ordered him to battle Harry, he had refused and ended up dueling with his father, killing him. Since then, Harry and Draco have been, perhaps not friends, but they hold one another in high respect. And then only two years after the Malfoy heir switched sides, he witnessed the master of his father being destroyed by Harry Potter. Along with the two of them were the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters, including Hermione and Ron Weasley, the two had wed several years before and were there with Harry all the way. Their children understood the war, all children born then did. They knew if their parents needed to leave for a fight, they said no complaints, merely kissed their parents good-bye, not knowing if they would ever see them again. Yes… Most children born in the time of the battle in Britain knew very little joy, but they did know much happiness. And now, five years after the war, these children are in school. And beneath the surface of the students, the Everlasting War is still going on.
