"I'm sorry.."
Yehva opened her eyes quickly and flicked them upwards in Seth's direction. "Its fine, really. We were never close anyway." She said slowly, as if she wasn't trying to convince Seth, but herself. She didn't want sympathy, she didn't like people to feel sorry for her, it wouldn't bring her mother back. She tended to bottle everything up, then end up depressed and feel that she would never be happy again, that things would never change, but that was what had killed her mother, and Yehva was slowly getting over it. She wasn't going to end up the same way. She didn't give up that easily. Her mother had spent her days in her bedroom, she had never left her bed, not to eat, not to drink, not to see her husband and daughter. Even if she didn't kill herself, she would have died soon anyway from malnutrition, she had a slim figure in the first place. No, she hadn't been close to her, no matter how close she felt, she had barely known her.
She decided to change the subject quickly, before the waterworks started flowing and she made them both feel even more awkward. "Are you from here? Lestrange, it sounds french." She asked curiously. Her friend Bellaree Riddle's maiden name was Lestrange, along with her twin brother Arion. But they were very distant towards most people, and not very social, so she had no idea if they were french, or who there father was, for that matter. She assumed Seth was related, a cousin, possibly.

Seth was glad when she changed the subject, he was beginning to hate the awkward silence between them that it had caused. He felt bad all the same, but he had a feeling that Yehva didn't want his pity. He had never really known much about his own family roots, but his last name did sound French all of the sudden. He thought it over before responding, he thought that his father had been French, or something like that. Seth had lived around London and in England his whole life, so he obviously didn't come directly from France, but it might have been in his background somewhere. "Around London." He replied. "It does." Seth adding nodding his head in agreement. "I'm not sure if it is though." He added again, he wasn't sure what it was. He had never even bothered to find out much about his family history or origin. He knew that he had a lot of cousins and that was about it.

(( Don't worry about it, its fine ))
"It does. I'm not sure if it is though."
Yehva nodded, hanging on his every word. She knew that he must be related to the Malfoy's, she was friends with Gemini, and she knew that they were french somewhere along the line. Yehva didn't know much about her backround or family either, just that she was fully Italian with some german and french backround mixed in there somewhere. She had only met two of her cousins, who where back in Italy, but she knew that her mother and father had had quite a few siblings, and she could only guess how many cousins she must have.
"Well I know that Malfoy's french, foi is faith in french, so, possibly." She replied. She had learned french when she was young by picking up words her mother spoke to her aunt. She still mixed up the words with Italian sometimes, for a few words were similar.
"I'm in a 6th year, by the way. I'm guessing you're a 7th then?" She asked, though she already knew the answer. She knew most of the people in her grade, and Seth looked older then her.

[S'cuse the speeling mistakes.. I'm wastedd... .lol..Gemini helepd make it unto English for me XD]
Seth watched Yehva closely for a moment after he had finished his sentence anticpating her reaction to it. He didn't realize that he was staring for what wasn't the second time tonight but possibly the third. "Gemini and Lizzie are my cousins." Seth said with a nod, he didn't know much French, in fact he didn't know any French at all. Having been born and raised in England it wasn't of much use to him. He than realzied that this statement was useless in itself, because Yehva obviously knew that they were his cousins because she had mentioend their surname in her last sentence. Seth stood there feeling stupid and turning a little red after this remark, but he quickly regained his ground.
"Yeah." Seth replied with a nod that seemed a little to enthusiastic. He grinned a bit stupidly before realizing what he was doing and letting his expression drop. He rubbed the back of his neck and ran his hands through his black hair again. He was trying to keep from bitting his nails, it had always been a bad habit of his.

(( LMAO. Funny funny. Looks like you had fun. Why wasn't I invited? xD ))
Yehva watched him carefully, and she couldn't help but smile as he grinned and nodded, then quickly dropped his expression. He looked nervous, though Yehva didn't understand why. She hadn't seen anything in this room that he could possibly be nervous about. Although she admitted that she herself felt nervous. Not the kind of nervous when you've just finished a big test, and you're worried about you're mark, the kind of nervous and confusion you get when you don't exactly know whats going on. The butterflies in her stomach returned each time Seth spoke or looked at her. She knew just a little bit more then his name, and it seemed desperate that she should know more.
She watched rub the back of his neck then run a hand through his hair. Maybe he wasn't nervous, maybe he was just tired. Yehva felt wide awake by now, a little dizzy and dazed, but awake none the less. She doubt she would make all her classes today, she'd get someone to tell her Professor's she was sick, then sleep the rest of the day.

[LOL XD ....wow that was a very lame post, I sound stupid when I'm drunk supposedly. It's what Gemini tells me. I can believe it now, she has proof in writing >.> ...I can't even remember writing that... This IS a MUCH better post XD]
Seth was never very good at not looking nervous, his emotions seemed to play on his face like a sort of movie they were always changing. It was hard for him to keep most of it, unless he had done something that day. Drugs usually helped calm him down and he was able to contain more of his emotions. It could porribly be associated with the numb feeling that came along with doing them. He looked away now trying to wipe the nervousness from his expression and his actions. It was a hard task ebcause he hadn't had anything at all today. He needed a cigarette, his hand went immediately into his pocket feeling around for the pack. It wasn't there. He knew that it had to be somewhere around in one of his pockets. It than occured to him that he might have looked even more nervous searching through random pockets for a pack of cigarettes that he wasn't sure he had on him. He let his hands drop to his sides again, forgetting all about grasping the railing in front of him, and focused on acting 'normal'. Seth had no idea what normal was, but he knew that it was somewhere along the lines of acting as if nothing was happening to him right now, and as if everything were 'right' in the world. He didn't feel that way right now, she had come along out of nowhere and knocked his whole world off balance. Seth felt violated. He didn't know her yet he felt like his every flaw was exposed, like his personality had been undressed in front of her to search and pick through. He wasn't sure if she was going to like what she saw.
Yehva was silent now, and Seth couldn't understand why he felt like she was observing him. He didn't know where to start the conversation again, but he was desperate to do it, least she walk out of this room and he would never see her again. He was compelled to keep her there, to make her stay put, so that he could take away all her time and attention. He felt like this was his first and last chance, even though he barely knew her. There was a good possibility that she walk out of the room and he'd never see her again. Halfway through these thoughts Seth realized that he was starting to sound ridiculously nervous. He paused a long moment and took a deep breath. "You wouldn't happen to have a cigarette on you?" He asked in a voice that sounded far to distant for even him to ehar although he had said it at a regular volume. He blinked, he had no idea where these words had come from, it had been the last thing on his mind.

(( Gah, everytime I'd start a reply to this, I would either break my fingers, my parents would yell at me, or my internet would fuck up. Someones out to get me, I am now convinced xD))
"You wouldn't happen to have a cigarette on you?"
"I might..." Yehva said, snapping out of her trans, her eyes refocusing. She had searched for her pack earlier quickly, with no luck, but that was only one pocket out of three, and she was sure to have one on her, for it was unusual to find her not smoking. She undid her robe and threw it beside her lightly, pushing up her sleeves to her elbows. She searched the front pocket again automatically, the small inside pocket, then the larger side pocket, drawing out a white pack of cigarettes in her hand. She placed the pack on the floor, and put her hand in her pocket again, rummaging around for her lighter. She felt small rapped pieces of fire-breathing gum, some strange candy she had most likely forgotten about, and her silver lighter she had taken from her fathers work case. She pulled it out and flicked the top off, shaking two cigarettes out of the pack and onto the floor. She handed one to Seth and placed hers limply between her lips, covering one side with her hand as she pulled back the small wheel of the lighter and lit her cigarette, letting it eat away at the paper before taking a long drag, a wave of relaxment and relief rushing over her. She took the cigarette out of her mouth and held it between her index and middle finger, and handed the lighter to Seth. She continued this routine, breathing in deeply then letting the smoke out slowly, watching it hover in the air just above her head before disappearing. She left the pack on the floor, thinking she would be done this one soon, and wouldn't mind another.
She shifted to the side, so her spine wasn't directly against the cases, but just in between the shelves, her shoulders supporting her so she didn't fall over. She looked upward, straight at the door, and noticed that it was still open, yet only a few inches. She didn't want to think about what would happen if they were caught, at a ridiculous time of night, both smoking. Though they were both of age, smoking was forbidden on school grounds. Smoking, up at night, and the chamber broken into, that, Yehva figured, was more then enough detention then she could handle. She glanced up at Seth before placing her cigarette back in the corner of her mouth, and stood up. She bent her back backwards, and stretched her arms above her head, her muscles feeling stiff and numb. She walked over to the door unsteadily, and poked her head out, glancing both ways down the corridor. She couldn't see all the way, and thought it would be better just to make sure the corridor was completely clear before returning into the room. But even when she took her first step outside, she felt like something was compelling her to go back, drawing her in.

[I'm sorry o.o .... I'm amazed that you were able to type that much, must've hurt like Hell. .. I'd protect you but I still have trouble finding my way home xD ...]
Seth nodded and took several steps closer to Yehva, now he was standing right next to her as she searched her pockets. He leaned against the railing across from the bookcase that she was leaning up against. The railing was far off from it barely a couple steps away. He studied her quickly as she searched her pockets before he let his eyes stray off to some random piece of dust covering the floor not far off from where Yehva sat. His eyes returned to her when he saw her pull something out of her pocket several seconds later. Seth bent down and took the cigarette from Yehva placing it carefully into the side of his mouth unlit. "Thank you." He replied a gentle grin appearing on his face, as he slumped down again to grab the lighter from Yehva. This time when she handed it to him his fingers brushed lightly against the side of her hand. He hadn't meant for it to happen, it was just one of those things that made a point of happening. He drew his hand away with the lighter slowly, trying to make as if he hadn't noticed hoping somehow that she ahdn't either. He was clumsy at times, but it was usually only when he was high. He hadn't been today. Taking the lighter close to his cigarette Seth flicked it open and lit up. He took the first drag on his cigarette examining the lighter a minute before stooping down to hand it back to Yehva. "Nice lighter." He remarked as he took a seat across from her, his back to the railing that bordered the walkway that seperated the lower floor of the room from the small upper which housed the bookcases which was seemingly the makeshift library. Leaning softly into the railing the posts cut into his back, although he didn't mind it much, he attention was now to far focused on Yehva. The cigarette, which he had felt would help him calm down a little, didn't seem to be helping him. So she was a smoker, now he knew that much, maybe he should try to take this a little further. Seth didn't question Yehva when she got up, he let her go. He wasn't sure what she was up to, but the pack of cigarettes that she had left laying in her wake seemed to guarantee her prescence would be back in the room in a matter of minutes. His brown eyes followed her out the door which was open a little still from when she had first entered it. He brought his knees to his chin, his robes drapped around him making him look wrapped in a blanket of black. He sat there a few minutes, too shy to move, and too deep in thought to really care. He found himself getting to his feet taking another drag on the cigarette and than removing it to blow smoke slowly into the musty air in front of him. The fumes seemed to hang in the dust which was permanantly suspended throughout the room. His feet took him to a place not far behind Yehva. He was watching her back as she stepped out into the corridor. The cigarette had found it's way back to the side of his mouth now, and for some strange reason he felt the need to grab her shoulder and reach out towards her. Telling her not to go and leave him there. He wasn't tired he wasn't ready to leave yet, but somehow the words were lost to him. He retreated back a few steps towards the railing that ended abruptly right near the entrance of the door. It occured to him at that moment that it would seem weird for him to be standing right behind her. But it suddenly didn't seem to matter.
"Did they find us already?" Seth asked with a yawn. He tried to sound causual about it, he was sure that the nervousness was masked by the smoky air that now floated around his head. The smoke was still emitting from the cigarette and it seemed to come out a vivid white in the dimness of the room. A smirk appeared across his face as he waited for her to turn towards him or cast him a sideways glance. He was sure that they weren't going to get caught, not tonight at least. If he could go the last four years without barely missing a day of getting high here at Hogwarts, and not getting caught once, than there was a good chance that they wouldn't be caught tonight. They were smoking in the teacher's ... room, and he was sure that if they were caught it would be a big deal, but Seth didn't care. Nothing bothered him much anymore. He didn't even care about the thigns that happened to him. The only thing that had mattered for some time was that he was able to escape it and use drugs as an outlet for anything that seemed to be after him. It had worked of course, it always worked. But today it seemed like it wouldn't work for this kind of pain that he was feeling. It was always hard to look someone in the eye that you were almost sure you would never have.

(( Oh no, its fine, I wasn't complaining Its my fault actually. My cat had climbed up on the roof and was too scared to get down, and we have a ladder attached to the wall, but I forgot to latch the hook properly, and once I reached the top the ladder fell backwards, with me still on it, and when I hit the ground my fingers bent backwards and the bone cut through my skin. Ick, not fun. Typing is easier then writing with my left hand though, and I have pills and things to take for it. Its not as bad as it sounds xD ))
"Did they find us already?"
Yehva spun back on her heel, shaking her head and smiling. "No, I doubt even them are up at this time of night....or morning, whatever it is." She said, flicking the end of her cigarette with her thumb nail. She took one last quick glance back before stepping back inside the room and shutting the door softly behind her. She leaned against the door for a moment, looking at Seth and examining every feature of his face, before realizing that she was staring and turning her head away slightly. She frowned, she didn't understand this, the emptiness in her stomach or the feeling as if she was floating on a cloud, she felt as if something was wrong with her. It seemed that she couldn't stop fidgeting, either flicking the ash off her cigarette many more times then needed, or pulling her hair to one side and combing it with her fingers. She breathed in deeply, and placed the cigarette in the middle of her mouth, drawing in hard so that her cheeks where pinched, then she removed the cigarette from her mouth and blew out slowly, her eyes wandering back to Seth over the thin smoke. She wanted to take those few steps over to him and take his hand, but she stood still, as if frozen to the spot. Unsure of what to do, or say next.
(( Blah, sorry about the crappy post, I wasn't sure what to say >.> ))

[Ouch....xP]
Seth grinned at her response and took another drag off the cigarette blowing smoke off to the side in makeshift rings. He wasn't doing it to show off, it helped him when he got nervous because it gave him something else to focus on other than the thing that was making him nervous. As hard as he was trying it was getting harder for Seth to look anywhere but at Yehva. For a few seconds he realized that Yehva had actually been staring at him, he blinked several times thinking that he'd imagined it. It was clear to him now that he had been clean for too long and was now seeing things. He wasn't sure though because a part of him wanted to believe that she had just actually been staring. Shaking his head to himself and laughing quietly, Seth took a few steps forward. "I'm going to see if you missed a spot." He said teasingly. He was now inches from Yehva, because she was blocking the door. He stood silently with a smirk across his face waiting for her to move. In the back of his mind he was slowly going insane because he didn't know what she was thinking right now. He knew that he would never know, but right now it seemed like it was one of the most important things in the world. He wasn't sure if he could take rejection from her, if he even tried to make the first move. But right now rejection didn't seem that bad, especially since he wasn't even sure what she was feeling. It would be good to know anything right now, so that he could plan which direction he would take ahead of time without spending to much time getting hurt inbetween. Seth now held his cigarette between two fingers as he blew smoke to the side, so he didn't blow it in Yehva's face. The end of his cigarette burned and smoked between his fingers, and it only caught his attention momentarily before he turned back to Yehva. He set her with a cynical expression waiting for her to move aside from the door.

Yehva watched as the rings from Seth's cigarette floated higher and higher into the air, before disappearing like grainy mist. She had never been able to make patterns or shapes, she didn't think she'd tried before, she hadn't bothered. She took another drag from her cigarette, letting the smoke mingle its way out of her mouth slowly instead of blowing out. She remembered how she had coughed and choked when she had tried her first cigarette. It was funny thinking of it now, after everything else she had done, like her innocence was fading infront of her.
"I'm going to see if you missed a spot."
Yehva turned her head back to Seth. She raised can eyebrow and smirked, blowing a lock of hair out of her eye. "Missed a spot? Well, that could be possible. Maybe I wasn't thinking clearly, my mind was on ....something else." She said, but she didn't move out of his way, or show any intention of doing so. Instead she leaned off the wall, and titled her head upwards slightly so that all her hair fell back on her shoulders.

Seth was standing very close to Yehva, so when she blew the lock of hair out of her eyes, the remains of her warm breath hit the side of his cheek. This got him thinking about how close he was, and the way that she was acting. Could she really be dropping him these hints or was he just seeing things again? Seth could never fully trust himself, but he had a feeling that this was his first and last chance to get her. 'Missed a spot? Well, that could be possible. Maybe I wasn't thinking clearly, my mind was on ....something else,' her words echoed through Seth's mind stinging his already numb perception of what was happening. Seth found his hand was now placed on the bookshelf that was standing directly next to the doorway that was the only way in and out. The doorway was surrounded on both sides by the sides of the large book cases that bordered the walls. Since Yehva wasn't going to move, or it didn't seem like she was moving Seth slowly started to close in on her. Both of his hands were clutching either side of the bookcases that stood right directly next to either side of the doorway. There was no way out for Yehva now unless she ducked underneath his arm to escape him. "Something else?" Seth asked with a smirk spreading across his formally expressionless face. His breath was warm and smelled of smoke now the cigarette in his hand had burned out before and he had dropped it snubbing it out on the carpet with his foot. Without even realizing it, Seth found that he was now leaning down towards Yehva his face barely inches from hers. Several lose strands of black hair fell forward as Seth leaned in, his lips brushing softly across Yehva's. He pulled his head away almost as quickly as he had done it, to see if she had approved or not. Seth was waiting for the hand across his face and premeditated red mark that it would leave for a week or more.
There were many things going through Seth's head now. The biggest thing was if Yehva would accept what he had just done. He had been sure, or almost sure before that she wouldn't even take a second look at him and porribly just walk away. But now it seemed like she had been leading him on. Seth wasn't completely sure if it was the utter truth, seeing as he had a different way of interpreting her behavior than she did. But he was as sure as possible that she had been doing it. Now he would just have to wait and find out.

"Something else?"
By this point Yehva too had dropped her cigarette and stepped it out with her foot. She opened her mouth to reply, but realized how close they were and shut it quickly, a warm, tingly feeling swooping over her. She almost turned away, in fear that she might be blushing again and making a fool of herself, but she kept still, and soon felt Seth's lips brush softly against hers. She would be lying if she said that she wasn't taken back, even in the position they were both in, she hadn't expected it. It took a while for her mind to fully process what had happened before reacting, to realize it was real. She leaned forward and kissed Seth on the lips, placing her hand on his shoulder. His lips felt soft and cold against hers and she couldn't help but think that this was a little crazy, well, not something she would do everyday. They had just met each other, at a ridiculous time of night, alone in the chambers. Somehow the situation seemed a bit strange to Yehva, creepy, but she didn't care. It didn't matter to her, the one thing that seemed to matter was that they both stayed put, that he didn't take off suddenly and leave her here.

Seth had been waiting for rejection, he was always waiting for it to come and slap him in the face. To shot him down before he reached his goal. But this time, it didn't come. Instead of feeling Yehva slap him across the face, or even dodge him he felt her kissing him back. He was a little surprised even after the hints that she had been dropping before, he didn't think that she would be willing to go this far with him. A warm feeling spread through Seth, his stomach seemed to have dropped a few inches below it's usual resting place. But it was a good sensation, he felt confident in what he was doing. He knew that it now seemed a little crazy considering that he barely knew this girl, but it had felt right to start with. Seth usually went on what he felt, rather than really judging the situation before jumping into it. It was one of his flaws, because most of the time, his feelings weren't leading him the right direction. As he felt Yehva's hand on his shoulder he wrapped an arm around her waist, he had placed it higher up more near the curve of her arm least she get offended by his action, which was all based on his impulse today. He knew that he might pay for this later, but now it all felt so right. It always did.
